    VariQ has an exciting opportunity for a highly qualified Facilities Coordinator in Rockville, MD. This is a full time position at VariQ and will start immediately.


    Additional Information:

    • Location: VariQ office in Rockville, MD
    • Salary: Dependent upon experience

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Serves as receptionist at the front desk during office hours (9:00am-5:00pm; expectation is arrival by 8:45)
    • Welcomes visitors by cordially greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries in an accurate and professional manner.
    • Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges.
    • Maintains telecommunication system by following manufacturer's instructions for house phone and console operation.
    • Maintains a clean and safe office by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Keeps common areas, conference rooms, and kitchens stocked, tidy, and well-presented on a daily basis.
    • Interfaces with building maintenance and staff to ensure the facility is well-functioning, repairs concluded, and any issues addressed promptly.
    • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
    • Maintains office services through activities such as scheduling conference rooms; controlling correspondence; reviewing and purchasing supply requisitions; assigning, stocking, and monitoring office supplies. (This includes tracking receipts and filing according to VariQ processes.)
    • Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office processes and procedures.
    • Assists with planning, preparation, and hosting of company events (summer event, holiday party, potlucks, and on premise meetings, conferences), including set up/take down for on premise catering needs and meal orders.
    • Creates VariQ name badges for all staff (including taking pictures of new employees); issues name plates for office cubicles, labelling envelopes and packages.
    • Issues stamps for outgoing mail and FedEx shipments.
    • Assists with creating Qcertificates (printing, obtaining signatures, scanning, and filing).
    • Supports proposal productions (infrequent weekend work required).
    • Assists other administrative staff with overflow work, including word processing, data entry and Internet research tasks, as requested.



    This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
