VariQ has an exciting opportunity for a highly qualified Active Directory & Exchange (ADEX) and Infrastructure Defense Team Lead to support the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Chandler, AZ.

Team Lead responsible for overseeing team of ADEX and Infrastructure Defense personnel providing 24 x 7 x 365 operations. The workforce provides the necessary support to monitor and evaluate the performance of the ADEX and IDG operations to include, but not limited to, supervision, management, technical, administrative and project support.

Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments which are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Has the ability to apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.

Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including: day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client problems.

Provides second level problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Must possess experience in one or more systems and architectures and associated hardware: mainframe, mini, or client/server based.



  • BS or MS in computer science or similar computer-oriented major is required
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience with Project Management and Integrated Master Scheduling using Microsoft
  • Must have strong understanding of various technologies (deployment, systems, applications, connectivity, )
  • Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must have the ability to interact with and effectively communicate technical information with senior engineers, technicians, Project Managers and Engineering team personnel
  • Must have strong technical writing and organizational abilities
  • Shall have or capable to obtain TS/SCI security
  • Certifications: ADEX-MCSE (Messaging), or IDG-MSCCMC, or AD 2003-2012R2 Enterprise Administration, or MS Office 365



  • PMP or CAPM
