    VariQ has an exciting opportunity for a highly qualified Lead Training Specialist (PeopleSoft) to support the DOS project in Washington, DC

     

    Additional Information:

    • Location: Washington Metro Area
    • Salary: Dependent upon experience

    Responsibilities

    The Training Specialist will help perform all aspects of PeopleSoft training activities including: developing training materials, developing, testing, and deploying User Productivity Kit (UPK) materials, and planning and executing remote and live training sessions to students around the world.

    Qualifications

    Abilities to perform in all the following capacities:

    • Lead a team in gathering existing training curriculum and information to be used to develop and assess the existing training program and future training program development
    • Analyze job functions and task skills, training audiences, training infrastructure
    • Assesses current roles and the skills needed to perform them within areas affected by implementation
    • Identify broad areas of end-user learning and performance support needs
    • Obtain content developers from internal and external sources
    • Develop a detailed plan for the development and delivery of education/training materials required to support the new performance management technology, processes, and metrics
    • Develop Instructor-Led Training, design document, instructor guide and participant guide
    • Develop Web-based Training (WBT) design document, storyboard, courseware and end-user documentation that covers the required knowledge and skills
    • Evaluate if the end-user training product effectively created the changes in knowledge and skills specified

    The Training Lead may be expected to develop/conduct the following and should have associated experience with:

    • Role-based training curriculum development
    • End-User Audience Analysis and Training Course Outlines
    • End-User Training Tools (ITL, WBT, User Documentation)
    • Communications Outreach, User Adoption
    • Oracle User Productivity Kit Experience
    • Analysis Design Delivery Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) model
    • PeopleSoft familiarization
    • Integrated Process Design and Process Assessment
    • Business process reengineering and requirements gathering
    • Internal Assessments
    • Training audit and evaluation methods
    • Training Material Development, including Orientation Materials (e.g. Train-the-trainer)
    • Capture and development of content
    • Change management or train-the-trainer

    Requirements:

    To perform the work and to gain access within this environment, an Active Secret Clearance is required

    6+ years' overall training delivery experience

    Bachelor's Degree preferred

    Extensive international travel to US Embassy and Consulate Posts of up to 6 weeks in length may be required
