    VariQ has an exciting opportunity for a highly qualified Task Lead supporting client UAS implementation and counter-UAS activities.

      

    Additional Information:

    • Location: Washington, DC Area
    • Salary: Dependent upon experience
    • Security Clearance: Top Secret (SCI eligible)
    • Period of Performance: 5 years

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    • Monitor and evaluate all-source intelligence and information
    • Evaluate the current or potential terrorist, insurgent, criminal, and nation-state operations involving UAS that may impact the safety and security of U.S.
    • Participate internally as well as externally in interagency policy discussions involving the integration of UAS within the emergency system, and the implementation of C-UAS technology to detect and defend critical client infrastructure within the emergency notification system.
    • Support client activities involved in any safety/security policy creation by teaming with other interagency partners to either modify current policies or draft new national policy to account for changes in threats in the client industry.
    • Build and maintain liaison relationships within client lines of business, along with counterparts in other national level agencies, including those in the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), as well as any other identified Departments/Agencies involved in Aviation safety and security.
    • Serve as the client central point of contact for all industry threats and will facilitate exchange of information with and responses to queries from other agencies as requested by the client

     

    Qualifications

    • Experience leading large teams within a Federal setting.
    • Previous experience working within the DOT, FAA, DHS, or federal law enforcement preferred.
    • Experience with National Security Emergency Preparedness (NSEP) requirements preferred
    • Must work independently, as well as part of a team environment.

    Education Requirements/Years of Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree (Masters Preferred) in a related field. Additional years of experience can used in lieu of a degree
    • 7-10+ years’ experience.
