VariQ is looking for a UX/Graphic Designer with experience in visual design, user-centered design, information architecture, content strategy and user interface design. The Designer will be a part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing high-quality solutions to federal clients.


Additional Information:

  • Location: VariQ office in Rockville, MD
  • Salary: Dependent upon experience

  • Marketing material preparation – brochure design, visual organization and presentation;
  • Website support – VariQ internal and external website information architecture and content strategy;
  • Business Development graphic support – proposal graphic conceptualization and creation;
  • Business Development SME support – proposal content writing re user-centered design and UI/UX expertise.
  • High-quality presentation support – for corporate events and client meetings;
  • Technical Demo team support – interactive design, wireframes, web user interface design.  


Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience;
  • A. or B.S. (focus in Library Sciences, Human Computer Interaction, Psychology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related area of study is a plus);
  • A design portfolio including case studies and samples of work;
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation);
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation;
  • Strong analytical aptitude, an ability to structure complex or undefined business problems;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Balsamiq, Axure, Omnigraffle, and/or Sketch is preferred;
  • Strong knowledge of HTML / CSS/ LESS / SASS and other front-end web design technologies is a plus;
  • CUA or CXA credential is a plus.
