    VariQ has an exciting opportunity for a highly qualified Jr. IT Manager to support our client in Washington, DC.


    Additional Information:

    • Location: Southwest Washington, DC
    • Salary: Dependent upon experience
    • Security Clearance: None
    • Available: ASAP



    • Provide oversight and organization to a ~10 member desktop support team, including escalation support
    • Forecast future workload and projects, and actively manage resources to effectively complete urgent items in a timely manner
    • Conduct macro analysis of project needs and areas for improvement, and present technical and administrative solutions to management
    • Maintain team workflow and schedule to ensure customer needs are met
    • Provide concierge support and troubleshooting to VIP customers
    • Deliver regular updates to management on productivity, challenges, and customer satisfaction
    • Assist as necessary in the resolution of urgent desktop support tickets


    Required Skills:

    • 7+ years in desktop and/or call center support, including experience troubleshooting Windows, Microsoft applications, mobile devices, and enterprise networks
    • 1+ year as desktop support team lead, deputy project manager, etc.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent organizational skills, and ability to prioritize competing tasks
    • Ability to interface with VIP customers and provide outstanding customer support


    Desired Skills:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related discipline
    • Related IT certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL)
    • Previous project management/coordination experience strongly desired
