  • Overview

    VariQ Corporation is looking for a skilled XML Developer with Arbortext and Oracle WebCenter experience for an engagement at the United States Coast Guard client located in Elizabeth City, NC.

     

    Additional Information:

    • Salary: Dependent upon experience
    • Security Clearance: ability to attain a public trust required

    Responsibilities

    • Troubleshoot production issues through customer submitted trouble tickets related to publication development and workflow.
    • Modifications and enhancements to existing XML stylesheets and document type definitions/schemas.
    • Review requirements in order to complete test documentation.
    • Test existing applications in support of upgrades and security patches.
    • Participates in development of user guides and technical instructions.
    • Participates in special projects as required, creating promotion packages for the Configuration Management and System Engineering teams, and attends daily stand up meetings.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills:

    • Experience using XML authoring tools such as Arbortext.
    • Experience in Oracle WebCenter Portal and WebCenter Content.
    • Experience in the development process (development testing, writing test plans, user testing, etc).
    • Language Proficiencies: HyperText Markup Language (HTML), Structured Query Language (SQL), Cascading Style Sheet (CSS), Extensible Markup Language (XML), Document Type Definitions (DTD), XSD Schemas.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Agile Development experience with Scrum desired.
