    VariQ has an exciting opportunity for a highly qualified Junior Contracts Administrator to assist the Contracts Department in the management and administration of contracts, ensuring timely compliance, seamless performance and professional interaction with partners and clients.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities


    The essential functions include, but are not limited to, assistance with the following:

    • Administer the process for executing, amending, and monitoring implementation of the organization’s federal, state, local government, and commercial contracts
    • Organizing and tracking contractual related documents, requirements, and deliverables in order to ensure full compliance throughout the contract lifecycle
    • Responding to contractual requests from clients and subcontractors
    • Providing timely support to departments within the organization on contract-related matters, including reviewing agreements with partners and suppliers
    • Keeping up with Government mandated regulations and assisting with implementation as applicable, including FAR, DFAR, CFR and other applicable requirements for federal contractors
    • Taking notes during meetings, managing action items and follow-up
    • Performing other work-related duties as assigned


    Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical area or equivalent work experience (equivalency is 4 years of work experience)
    • Paralegal Training is a plus
    • 0-3 years of relevant experience in a business or office environment and/or equivalent
    • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing
    • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
    • Self-starter with the ability to work well with others in a collaborative manner and a willingness to assist with tasks or projects as the need arises
    • Possess a strong work ethic and be able to take responsibility and ownership of work/tasks assigned and see them through to completion
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well under stress to meet deadlines as needed
    • Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies is a must
    • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn and master new software and technology as the need arises
    • Knowledge of specific programs include: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint a plus
    • A desire to continually learn and grow professionally
