    VariQ has an exciting opportunity for a highly qualified Windows Systems Administrator who will provide support for the US Army in Ft Belvoir, VA

     

    Additional Information:

    • Location: Ft Belvoir, VA which is just south of DC
    • Salary: Dependent upon experience
    • Security Clearance: active Secret or higher clearance
    • Available: ASAP

    Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for system administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and monitoring functions for all parts of the system infrastructure at 3 data centers.

    The ideal candidate will provide local and remote network and systems administration support to include the responsibilities detailed in AR 25-2 paragraph 3-3a. The server environment includes physical and virtual servers running Microsoft Windows and Linux, consisting of database, application, backup and web servers in both clustered and stand-alone configurations. The network environment consists of Cisco switches and firewalls and Citrix Netscalers.

    Qualifications

    • MUST have an Active DOD Secret security clearance (or higher).
    • Must have IAT II certification requirements (Security+ CE, Windows OS certification, MCSA (Windows 10 preferred) and/or MCSE).
    • An active MCSE/MCSA cert in Windows Server 2012 R2 or 2016, Citrix Xenapp experience is required
    • 5+ years of previous Microsoft Windows System administration experience.
    • Strong understanding of implementing industry and government best security practices.
    • Ability to work with a team and collaborate with various government personnel.
