  • Overview

    We are seeking a Drupal Back End Developer responsible for designing and implementing new features and functionality, establishing and guiding the website’s architecture, ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.  Work closely with front-end developers and customers to ensure an effective, visually appealing, and intuitive implementation. Individual should have excellent communication skills, the ability to work autonomously on challenging projects and enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

    • Responsible for designing and implementing new CMS features, functionality and enhancements
    • Modify existing functionality to meet business requirements and legislative changes
    • Establish and guide the website’s architecture,
    • Ensure high-performance and availability, and
    • Work closely with front-end developers and customers to ensure an effective, visually appealing, and intuitive implementation
    • Develop Drupal roles and types of access associated with them
    • Support module development and configuration
    • Add new taxonomies, as needed, by the business requirements
    • Ensure timely turn-around for fixing issues in accordance to the organization process and procedures to ensure WCMS availability to customers (Drupal 8 application support (development and modules)
    • Review and ensure requirements are developed in concordance with Drupal best practices
    • Participate in code reviews
    • All testing (system, browser, Section 508, user acceptance, application security scanning coordination)
    • Input test plans, test cases, test pass/fail results into JIRA and maintain traceability
    • Create and execute test scripts (manual and automated)
    • Support migration testing, verifying data, and optimization
    • Provide ad hoc demonstrations of capabilities and constraints, as needed


    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of related experience OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 3 years or related experience.
    • 5 – 6 years’ experience in working on Drupal projects in a team environment.
    • 2 years ‘experience with PHP language, including the versions from 5.4 and above that emphasize object-oriented techniques
    • Experience developing web solutions in Drupal and PHP implementations in a LAMP environment
    • Ability to architect enterprise Drupal solutions including data, display, and information architecture
    • Advanced site-building experience including deep familiarity with Drupal modules such as CTools, Views, and Panels
    • Experience creating custom Drupal modules
    • Familiarity with DB and DB Modeling – in particular MySQL
    • Command line competence in Linux to be able to work with sandbox instances. This includes editing server files, navigating server folders, modifying permissions and other such actions
    • Familiarity with most common contributed modules.
    • Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle in an Agile environment
    • Strong communications skills with ability to articulate ideas with others in the team
    • Experience in Public Sector environments
    • Experience working in cloud environments
