    VariQ has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager in Alexandria, VA.

    • Available: slated to start September 2019
    • Location: Alexandria, VA


    • The Contractor shall nominate and once accepted assign an experienced Program Manager (PM) to serve in a full-time equivalent (FTE) onsite Key Personnel position.
    • The PM shall be primarily responsible for ensuring there is appropriate contract staffing to support each SOW functional area; day-to-day supervision, leadership and management, timely and accurate reporting; successful completion of contract tasks, timely and accurate deliverable submissions, and overall contract performance.
    • The PM shall also be responsible for the development, management, and direction of the Contractor's Quality Control Plan and Program; content and/or briefings provided to NSF executives and managers; and serve as the primary point of contact (POC) with DIS senior leadership, Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), interactions with other Government employees and Contractors upon DIS' request.
    • The Contractor shall be responsible for Project, Program and Portfolio Management, including but not limited to identifying the appropriate type of project management resources, preparing and managing project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), preparing (accurate) detailed cost estimates, preparing and managing project schedules, preparing project documentation and deliverables, identifying risks and risk mitigation strategies, project reporting and closeout.
    • Project Management responsibilities also include participation in Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) focused on sustaining, transitioning, and modernizing both standalone and enterprise wide operational IT infrastructure environments. Projects are to be managed IAW Project Management Institute (PM I) Project Management Principles and Best Practices.


    • Years of experience: 10+ years of experience highly desired.
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline is highly desired.
    • Certifications: PMP required. ITIL highly desired.
    • Additional requirements: experience managing 85+ highly desired.
