VariQ has an opening for a Project Manager supporting the Cloud Migration and O&M of the Infrastructure Protection (IP) Gateway system for Department of Homeland Security (DHS) located in Rockville MD.

The Project Manager is responsible for all services performed under this statement of work. The Project Manager is the single point of contact for the Contracting Officer and the COR. The Project Manager is the senior level employee provided by the Contractor for this work effort. The Project Manager must have 5+ years of experience working on DHS contracts as well as 10+ years of project management experience in an information technology field. This experience should include transitioning systems between vendors and migration of systems to a cloud environment. The Project Manager is further designated as "Key" by the Government. During any absence of the Project Manager, only one alternate shall have full authority to act for the Contractor on all matters relating to work performed under this statement of work. The Project Manager and all designated alternates shall be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all services performed under this statement of work
• Serve as the single point of contact for the Contracting Officer and the COR.
• Be the senior level employee provided by the Contractor for this work effort.
• Produce the documents necessary as part of the DHS Acquisition Lifecycle Framework and Systems Engineering Life Cycle Directives and Instructions
• Perform quality assurance environment for requirements similar to those in this statement of work. 
• Meet all stated contract deliverables
• Manage workforce within budget

A Project Manager must be identified and is considered key personnel requiring the following items:

Required:

1. An active PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) or PMI Program Management Professional (PMP®) Certification
2. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or an IT related field required.
3. Experience with cloud migration projects in the federal government
4. 10+ years project/program management experience

Preferred:

1. Formal training or certification in Agile software development methods
2. Demonstrated experience in producing the documents necessary as part of the DHS Acquisition Lifecycle Framework and Systems Engineering Life Cycle Directives and Instructions.
3. Demonstrated experience with the management, manpower utilization, and supervision of employees (including subcontractors) of various labor categories and skills in projects similar to the requirements of the statement of work.
4. Demonstrated experience in a quality assurance environment for requirements similar to those in this statement of work.
5. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, including experience in presenting material to senior Government officials
6. Experience transitioning systems between vendors and migration of systems to a cloud environment required.
7. Experience leading agile teams, technology programs, cloud migrations, and distributed multi-stakeholder programs.
8. Proven ability to engage with technical, business, and mission personnel as well as provide briefings and reports to senior DHS and CISA Leadership.
9. Familiarity with DHS Enterprise technology processes and guidance, such as SELC, highly desirable.
10. Ability to manage large multifaceted teams in a flexible and adaptable environment.
11. Familiarity with DHS acquisition, management, reporting, compliance, and technology standards and requirements.
