  • Overview

    VariQ Corporation is looking for a skilled Junior Developer for a long-term engagement supporting VariQ’s Corporate Office in Rockville MD.
    Additional Information:
    • Salary: Dependent upon experience
    • Security Clearance: US authorization required


    The Junior Developer researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
    1. Participates in the design and development of solutions that integrate well with in-house IT systems.
    2. Prepares, runs, and analyzes unit and integration tests of solutions.
    3. Maintains current solutions and upgrades/modifies them as required.
    4. Works with the Technical Lead to ensure service availability for solutions/systems.
    5. Performs administration duties such as permissions, workflow management, and reports for IT solutions.
    6. Participates in special projects as required, including providing support to VariQ BD, creating workflows, and automating processes.
    7. Provides visibility into the status of current projects through weekly reports and daily stand up meetings.
    The Junior Developer will be expected to work with the following technologies:
    1. SharePoint On-Premises 2016
    2. SQL Server
    3. MS System Center Orchestrator
    4. Visual Studio
    5. MS Office Suite
    6. PowerShell


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
    • At least 1+ years of related software development experience.
    • Programming languages: SQL, C#, Javascript, HTML, CSS
    • Experience with Single Page Application technologies (eg. Angular, React, KnockoutJS) is preferred
    • Any SharePoint experience is a plus
