    VariQ is looking for a motivated, self-starter with experience and strong relationships within the Government Contractor Business Development Operations and Proposal Operations.


    This Vice President position plays a key role in the successful and growing Business Development (BD) Group within VariQ. Reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer, the individual in this role will wear several hats, including oversight of the Proposal Development Center who support both Strategic Capture and Task Order bid activity, overseeing market and competitive research into the GovCon market; overseeing the GWAC PMO administrating and coordinating multiple prime IDIQ/GWAC contract vehicles; ensuring ongoing initiatives within the BD group are tracked and completed satisfactorily; oversight of a full suite of VariQ BD tools and data, and maintaining key BD performance metrics. This position requires the successful candidate to provide proactive support to business development and company leadership in identifying and acquiring potential new business.

    Vice President Duties:

    This position requires the successful candidate to provide proactive support to business development and company leadership in identifying and acquiring potential new business. Key duties include:

    • Oversee the BD Team who maintain and enhance standard processes to monitor, identify, communicate and track TO RFP’s across multiple agencies and vehicles
    • Provide executive oversight of the pipeline and gate review processes, ensure the BD/Proposal team is organized to monitor and coordinate Capture and RFP activities
    • Oversee the tracking and monitoring of multiple government sources for identified and strategic opportunities
    • Leverage and enhance our CRM Pipeline to optimally meet business development requirements
    • Analyze, maintain and present metrics to assist with vehicle trends and pipeline development
    • Lead, attend and participate in business development and growth strategy leadership meetings
    • Work directly with the CGO and senior Capture Leads to further multiple BD initiatives to optimize overall BD performance within VariQ


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Solid understanding of the business development lifecycle, government procurements and how to capture opportunities
    • Hands on experience with proposal creation cradle to grave, and specific experience overseeing and/or developing high quality Management Volumes
    • Experience with and knowledge of BD toolsets (Capture, Pipeline, etc.) is required
    • A desire to learn, proactiveness, manage multiple tasks, and technical/business GovCon acumen
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with senior leadership
    • A willingness to be a good teammate, working collaboratively and across borders to further VariQ’s BD goals
    • Personable and engaging personality
    • Strong general computer skills (e.g. MS-Office, MS-Outlook, MS-SharePoint)
    • Experience with developing and maintaining effective internal and external business relationships with clients and partners


    Additional Desired Qualifications:

    • Ability to form partnerships with industry
    • Technical background/experience/understanding that allows for input into technical approaches and solution development while working with internal/external Solution Architects
    • TS clearance or the ability to hold one
    • BA or BS degree
