  • Overview

    VariQ has an exciting opportunity for a Software Developer to support an analysis, tool integration, and development initiative. The goal of this project is to efficiently process large volumes of Packet Capture (PCAP) files from various sources and display the results to the users. The Contractor will work with a larger team comprised of software developers, system engineers, and data engineers. The Contractor will develop interface(s) and connections into the Sponsor’s production

    Responsibilities

    Work Requirement:

     

    The Contractor shall work in collaboration with existing Sponsor staff and contractors to enhance the analysis system leveraging Sponsor’s Proprietary capabilities. The Contractor shall collaborate on the integration of capabilities from different systems. The Contractor shall collaborate on the design, development, and testing of the capabilities integration. The Contractor shall implement capabilities that yield informative and predictive insights from data processed.

    Qualifications

    The Contractor shall have the following required skills and demonstrated experience:

    • Demonstrated experience developing with languages such as JavaScript/C++/Regex/PCRE
    • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing software enhancements to mission systems in other Government agencies
    • Demonstrated experience integrating multiple applications
    • Demonstrated experience developing and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation
    • Demonstrated experience conducting trial runs of applications to verify and validate the applications
    • Demonstrated experience compiling and writing documentation of program development and subsequent revisions
    • Inserting comments in the coded instruction so others can understand the program
    • Demonstrated experience writing, analyzing, reviewing, and rewriting programs
    • Demonstrated experience using workflow charts and diagrams
    • Demonstrated experience incorporating knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic
    • Demonstrated experience writing or contributing to end user instructions or manuals
    • Demonstrated experience assigning, coordinating, and reviewing the work and activities of developer personnel

    Other demonstrated experiences which are highly desired, though not required, include:

    • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing software enhancements to Sponsor mission systems
    • Demonstrated experience developing with JAVA
    • Demonstrated experience developing with Python
    • Demonstrated experience with Linux Administration
    • Demonstrated experience with NiFi automation
    • Demonstrated experience with PCAP
    • Demonstrated experience using rapid prototyping and Agile development methodologies
    • Demonstrated experience developing innovative analytical solutions
    • Demonstrated experience using Java-based technologies to develop enterprise systems
    • Demonstrated enterprise development experience with Java-based technologies
    • Demonstrated research and development experience on the progression of ideas to production systems
    • Working knowledge of Sponsor’s systems deployment process
