Overview

VariQ has an exciting opportunity for a highly qualified Senior Software Engineer to support our Government Client remotely. 

 

Additional Information:

  • Salary: dependent upon experience
  • Location: Remote available

  • Available: Upon Award

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze system specifications
  • Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures.
  • Execute tests (manual or automated) on source code.
  • Analyze test results and reporting to the development team.
  • Evaluate product code according to specifications
  • Create logs to document testing phases and defects
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams and Work with the development team to correct bugs and errors.
  • Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing

Qualifications

Responsibilities/Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Java web programming experience
  • 3+ years of ASP.NET, C#, ASHX, ASPX experience
  • 5+ years experience with libraries like: Spring, JSP, FreeMarker
  • Experience with REST APIs
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, XML, JSON
  • Knowledge of HTTP, threads, concurrent programming
  • Knowledge of design patterns and best practices
  • Plus: Node.js, React, AWS Lambda & DynamoDB, MongoDB
  • Plus: experience with Liferay, Alfresco, ElasticSearch
  • Plus: experience with SiteCore CMS

Education Requirements/Years of Experience

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline
  • At least 5 years of related design and development experience
